Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, a direct prequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, has received a new update that fixes several issues and improves gameplay mechanics. The version 1.0.1 update was released on October 18th, 2018.

One of the key changes in this update is the fix for an issue with the third requirement to Meet characters from the Community List for receiving Jin's Affinity Reward, Mineralogy. Now, players who have completed the third requirement will receive the reward item as intended.

Additionally, the update addresses a bug that prevented Trust from increasing to S rank and earning the completion reward item after completing the Affinity Chart. Players can now check their Affinity Chart again after downloading the update and Trust will automatically increase to S rank, granting them the completion reward item.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country is a role-playing game that focuses on Lora and her Blade Jin, as well as their allies in their battles against Malos. The game features gameplay mechanics very similar to the main game, with Drivers and Blades sharing the same stats and abilities.

In battle, both Drivers and Blades can switch between support and attack positions, using new Battle Arts known as Switch Arts that are immediately performed on a switch to an attack position. However, unlike the main game, players can control both Drivers and their resonated Blades in this game.

The update is downloaded automatically when the game is launched if the console has a working internet connection. Several free updates have been released for the game on Switch, each expanding the game content or fixing bugs and glitches.
